The Beginnings of Angelic Blessings

Angelic Blessings started off in my front room. I met a friend Lizzy through a friend Vali who I had only just met through a friend Barbara . . . . That sounds confusing I will go back a little I have panic attacks and anxiety and this has led to spells of agoraphobia (my longest spell being three years) that was without going out and not even being able to open my front door some days. I had tried all the usual routes for this type of thing doctors, counselling and I even had a CPN (community psychiatric nurse) for a few months. It got to the point that I didn't have a choice but to try some medication this caused me panic on its own. The medication personally didn't work for me it just seemed to esculate my situation although I am currently taking beta blockers (which I would rather not be taking) . . . . anyway I had tried all the usual routes and I seemed to be taking three steps forwards and two back and sometimes even four. So I decided to contact a few local therapists as I thought maybe that would help? I found a lovely lady Ros Hurst who offered to treat me for a very reasonable price due to my financial circumstances but to be honest at the time I couldn't even afford that. I used to have a job and lead a "normal" life that was until the anxiety and panic struck about 8 years ago. Anyway eventually I had almost given up on the idea of this approach due to my financial situation when two dear friends of mine caught me on a not so bad day and drove all the way down from Birmingham YES BIRMINGHAM and dragged me down town to "Time Out" there to cut a long story short I met a lady called Barbara who exchanged some much needed healing for a chat and eventually a cup of tea. She then persuaded me to go to another evening where she was doing a small talk on Crystal Skulls (very interesting). There I met another lady Vali who then introduced me to Lizzy. Phew got that far well we had a very strange evening one evening and that is another story all together (if you know me you already probably know that one). Lizzy and I only got to see each other the once not for lack of trying to get in touch again (and I later found out Lizzy tried too). One day I put a small ad in Energies in Action (www.energiesinaction.co.uk) asking to be contacted by like minded people and that is when Lizzy saw the ad and emailed me. Needless to say we met up one evening at mine. The evenings grew and before long two became four (Lizzy, Kate, Tracey, Sam and Me) soon to become more my frontroom as many of you know is not that large and we then realised that there was a need out there.

For a long while I contemplated finding a venue where we could go to exchange therapies, Have a cup of tea, Socaialize and take time out. I then started to think of all the others out there in the same or similar situation to myself who could really benefit from some pampering, some time out, some relaxing treatments.

I shared my ideas with my closest friends and with their full support (this is where Val Hutton) also came into the scenario I booked a hall and sorted the paper work and Angelic Blessings was born. (we had a few bumps on the way of course) one being that the hall we originally booked wasn't suitable in the end and we had to look for a new venue.

We are now a group of friends who get together on a friday night who offer therapies to ALL members of the public (no one excluded). We are non profit making and we are hoping to eventually with the support of the public become a registered charity and one day hope to have a healing centre.
